My PB 190 "earned" a pitted and nicked surface years ago yet it runs smooth
as silk! Solution? Strips of glossy Scotch tape! Works like a charm!
James Greenidge
Best solution I've heard of yet, short of buying a new upper plastic
& trackpad for $99.00.
As you know, I'm rather averse to putting any type of "dust"
substance into/onto my computer.
Nor am I a sanding fan. But I wonder; what about that substance they
sell "ON TV!!!" that turns scratched glasses seeable again? Would
"Future" acrylic floor product do the same?
________________
I thought the idea was a textured surface on the trackpad. Future
would do just the opposite.
Grit gets into computers no matter what you do. A little sanding if
done carefully couldn't hurt.
There is a hardware hacking site for Macs somewhere. They had some
fabulous paint jobs.
After a thorough cleaning an airbrushed coat of Future would possibly
give a lasting even coating to a PB.
