<<Yeah Applefritter got pretty throughly hacked...three days ago I went
there and there was this big screen 'This website pwned by Haxorgang'
or some such. Then day before yesterday they were refusing
connections and they still are.
I'd be interested to know what OS/Server they were running...>>
Got this when trying to access applefritter:
<<Applefritter's server was vandalized Monday, July 18, and we're still
working at recovering from it. In order to ensure the security of the server,
we
are engaged in rebuilding the software from the ground up. We're also taking
this chance to upgrade some components of the server.
Fear not, everything's backed up. When we return, everything will appear as
it did right before the server was disrupted.
We appreciate your patience as we work to get everything back to normal. With
any luck, we should be ready to go live early next week (the week of July
25). If there are any delays, we'll post updated information here.
The Applefritter administrators would like to thank all the visitors,
forum members, and contributors who help make the site what it is. Without
you all, Applefritter would be far from the community it is now.
