As far as I'm concerned, it's not an issue with the 190, in my limited 
experience. I use my 190 pretty often, usually about an hour or two every 
night, for when I want to read a little fanfiction or do some writing before 
bed. As far as I know, my 190 has never had a screen replacement, or any 
replacement of anything. I even checked the manufacture date on my battery, 
which still holds about 2-5 hours charge, and I'm going to say that it's July 
1996, but it could be 1998. As I said, it's nothing to be worried about. Then 
again, the PB 190 is the toughest notebook I've owned, and that's counting a 
Toshiba Satellite that took some rather nasty falls.
