All three I've gotten were free so I don't have a number for them.
But in general I think they are going pretty cheap. I think I've
seen them at the local swap meet for under $100.
The problem I have around here is that no one seems to know the names of
the mac laptops. Without that it's hard to find out what they're
selling. When you email the seller, they frequently know nothing beyond
turning it on and using it. When you think about it, that's probably
just the way it should be!

I prefer to base my ID on the ports. There is a logical order to
them so I don't have to remember arbitrary design factors.
Wallstreet Serial / SCSI
Lombard USB / SCSI
Pismo USB / Firewire
Of course one must know what the ports look like to use this method.
