I have no specific recommendation (other than asking the G-list where
this topic would actually be on-topic for the list), but I have a few
ideas.
Try seeing if any of the offending applications are running by
opening "Activity Monitor" in the Utilities folder. If any of them
are, force quit it.
You could also try holding "shift" the next time you start up to
disable any non-essential system extensions, etc that might be
interfering with the installation.
