You need a formatting utility other than Apple's. I've used LaCie's SilverLining for years, but I'm not sure of the current OS requirements. You can download the current version here: <http://www.lacie.com/download/drivers/LaCieUpdater_654.sit>
It's described as an updater, but I think it's just an installer. Also, you try ATTO's tool, ExpressPro-Tools, again, the OS requirements may be too high for your situation: <http://www.attotech.com/software/app1.html#macos9> You need to register (free) to login and DL. You'll need to move the drive to a SCSI-Manager 4.3 compliant desktop Mac to use either of the above tools IIRC. OW, I'm not sure what other freely DL-able formatting utils are out there. dan k -- ................................. http://macdan.n3.net/ carracho://dankephoto.dhs.org:9700 hotline://dankephoto.dhs.org:9500 ................................. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
