HTML*
Strong on Cognos all aspects, minimum version of v8.2 for at least 1 year,
preferably v8.3.
*Framework manager strong in business data modeling with Framework
managerworking knowledge of data modeling.
*Must be competent in setting up a complex data model from scratch.
*Be able to properly use and apply Governors and Determinants
*Be able to implement security at the model / package levels
*Report Studio
*Security Working knowledge of security within Cognos at both the data model
level and Cognos connection levels
*The ability to build OLAP data sources, along with the understanding of
OLAP data sources and their use.
*Experience using OLAP data sources for reporting purposes
Strong web technology skills such as Apache, Java Script, XML, HTML, Ajax
MUST be able to talk about what a STAR schema is
Understanding of both Dimensional and Relation modeling.
Understand what each report type is and when to use them, list, crosstab,
charts, map, etc
Ability to generate report formatting such as highlight rows that meet
exception criteria
Experience working with and building prompts
*Text box, value, search, Date, Time, Interval, Tree
Cascading prompts experience
Bursting of reports
Ability to generate prompts based on parameters
Ability to define and implement report drill thru
Ability to define report filters
Experience with both Dashboards and operational reporting.
Cognos Expert 9-10 Currently Using 6 + Years
Additional Skills: Metric Studio and Event Studio would be a plus.
Scorecards are a plus.
