*Automatic property valuation model (AVM) – The AVM model is a suite of
several component models coded in SAS and driven by Unix Korn shells
scripts. The model consumes hundreds of millions of input records from
multiple sources, performs advanced statistical modeling using SAS/STAT to
determine point estimates of property value and confidence scores for over
80 million unique residential properties in the U.S.

The developer will work from existing research code and detailed
requirements to develop SAS code and shell scripts as part of a system that
satisfies stringent Sarbanes-Oxley financial reporting controls.

Expert in SAS. Proficiency in SAS/STAT, SAS/MACRO, and SAS reporting
required. Unix (KSH) scripting, solid understanding of Software Development
Lifecycle (SDLC), and Oracle SQL strongly preferred.

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, economics, statistics,
related field.

Capable of efficiently manipulating extremely large data sets, and able to
understand data sources thoroughly.

Attention to detail necessary. Ability to code according to strict business
requirements.

Must be able to work well on a team and coordinate with other developers and
project managers.

Strong interest in mortgage and housing industry. Interest in solving
business problems using analytical tools.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal
skills.*
