Position: Java Architect Location: NJ Duration: 6 months *Local or Nearby * *Must have Investment Banking exp** * *RESPONSIBILITIES* · Architect, Specify, and Design best practices for scaling middle tier JEE applications. · Specify strategies and design changes to the existing JEE systems to meet scaling requirements · Write scalability related functional and design specifications. · Design, Code, and Unit Test scalability features into existing applications. · Interact with project management, other engineering teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate. · Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications. *SKILLS Required:* · At least 5 years experience working as a senior software engineer. · Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools. · Java/J2EE language programming on Unix/Linux operating systems. · Experience with the development of Weblogic middle and back-tier applications. · Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing). · Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems. · Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. · Experience in high-performance application development. · Experience building distributed and highly available solutions.
