*POSITION:BI / EDW QA Analyst* * *
*LOC: Brea CA (North Orange County).* * * *BI / EDW QA Analyst with 7 years experience, lead experience a plus* Manages/develops test plans, test cases and data sets for data warehouse testing. Executes test cases according to established test plans, documents problems/defects in defect tracking application, and retests to ensure problems are resolved. *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* • Lead BI/EDW QA efforts • Active participant in requirements and design review meetings • Develop comprehensive test plans from functional requirements and design specifications for medium to large scale projects • Execute functional/regression and system test cases • Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered during testing. • Document test execution results in specified tracking tool • Assume other responsibilities as directed. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts is mandatory. • Good understanding of requirements, and technical experience with databases and data warehousing concepts. • Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as Microstrategy and Business Objects. • Must be able to translate the requirements or Business logic to the ETL design. • Should have exposure to Informatica • Hands on experience in writing SQL queries. • 7+ yrs of BI QA experience • Able to creatively solve complex problems. • Able to work independently as well as be a team player • Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects • Strong working knowledge of MS applications (Excel, Word) • Good knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodology is mandatory. • Good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle is mandatory. • Excellent communication skills mandatory. • Prior exposure to Agile software development process is desired. • Experience with defect tracking applications such as HP Quality Center is mandatory. • Working knowledge of XML and experience using XML testing tools such as soapUI is desired. • Understanding of DB2/SQL/Oracle database structure and experience working with Query Analyzer or Toad for DB2/SQL Server/Oracle databases is desired. QA currently has an immediate contract position opening for a QA Analyst/Test Engineer with SoapUI scripting experience prefer insurance domain knowledge, but not required. Experience testing Multi-Raters (EzLynx, FSC, etc), Choicepoint, Polk, Mapquest and Melissa Data a plus. This contract position initially will be through 12/31/10 with the potential to extend into 2011.
