Face to face interview ( No phone interview ) *Title: Java Developer* * * Job Summary: Responsible for application development, support, and maintenance of client's suite of products, while maintaining close working relationship with business, clients, technical staff, and outside vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: " Participate in product enhancement of existing software, and new project's development life cycle. " Has responsibility for detailed systems requirement gathering in the form of system requirements specifications (SRS) and sign off on Functional requirement specifications (FRS) " Has responsibility for delivering quality software, while assisting in the User Acceptance Testing and training. " Has responsibility for ensuring all appropriate documentations of the solution, relative to his/her area, is in place and is according to defined standards. " Contributes in the determination of project scope, resource requirements, skill requirements, project milestones, budgets, and risk per IS standard methods and practices. " Works with the appropriate business members and project manager to ensure that all project objectives are being achieved. " Identifies and removes barriers that may impede successful completion of an assigned project. Job Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Certifications, Skills): " BS Degree in Business or IS preferred or equivalent experience. " *Atleast 5 years of software development experience, with at least three years in J2EE, relational database programming. * - *Experience with Spring, Struts, Hibernate etc will be nice to have* " Strong overall computer programming background, primarily in Java, JSP, XML, SQL, and a variety of other scripting tools and languages. " Solid experience in systems development life cycle. " Ability to adapt to fast turnaround on projects, building reusable components that can easily be redeployed on other projects. " Solid written and oral communication skills. " Must have sharp aptitude for requirements analysis and definition, data modeling, and use-case analysis. " Accomplished with version control and change management processes, policies, and principles. " Knowledge with Ingres database is a plus.
