Duration - 7/11/2011 - 12/31/2011 Work Location Chicago * * Job Description: PURPOSE OF JOB Responsible for developing software systems and components for a web-based application used. Participate in all stages of software development including refining product vision, gathering requirements, software system design, coding, testing, release, and support. Provide technical expertise on GWT and other Java-based web technologies. Follow a documented software development process and contribute to process improvements. Work with other departments to achieve cross-functional goals to satisfy customer expectations. Mentor less experienced team members on technical matters. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Develop, document and automate the deployment of an infrastructure that supports a web-based application. • Should have experience working with software configuration management, deployment, and continuous integration tools. • Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects •Adapt configuration management tools for the complex needs of the development teams or the management of the development process • Interact with customers/users to support software acceptance process.
