Send your consultants profiles to [email protected] Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 12 months *Network Engineer* *Position Summary* * * Client is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Network Infrastructure Services team, which is responsible for administration and expansion of the global network. The engineer will be responsible for daily operational support of the campus network. The engineer will diagnose and troubleshoot end user issues with wired and wireless network connectivity, set up lab networks and special events, participate in system virus remediation and assist with maintenance of telecommunications rooms. The engineer will work with deployment teams to assign server IP addresses, configure switch ports, and troubleshoot network connectivity issues. The ideal candidate will have an interest in learning to deploy and support a diverse range of environments, including large, high availability networks. Strong customer service skills will be critical for this position, as the engineer will interact with employees on a regular basis. The engineer will assist with projects, network upgrades, maintenance activities, and on-call responsibilities. * * * * *Responsibilities* * * - Daily operational support of switching and routing infrastructure at the Orem campus. - Wireless network administration, reporting and site surveys, including rogue AP detection and removal. - Design and administration of development and guest networks. - Troubleshooting wired and wireless network connectivity issues. - Assignment and configuration of switch ports, IP addresses and other network resources. - Support of mobile devices. - Timely trouble ticket resolution for end user issues. - Support for network deployment and maintenance projects. - Network documentation authoring. - Participation in 24x7 on-call rotation. *Requirements* * * - 2+ years of network administration experience, supporting small and large enterprise environments. - Knowledge of TCP/IP and routing protocols and fundamentals. - Knowledge of switching fundamentals such as Ethernet, VLANs and STP. - Familiarity with Cisco IOS. - Experience using network diagnosis and packet analysis tools. - Knowledge of Cisco wireless network components. - Knowledge of mobile devices and applications. - Experience with Juniper switches and routers a plus. - Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency. - Ability to self-motivate and manage/prioritize competing tasks. - Strong customer service skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work after hours to support projects and maintenance activities. - Potential travel to support field office projects. -- Phani Sree Adroit Professional Services Edison, NJ 732-960-3469 [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Powerbuilder Assignments" group.
