JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client is looking for an experienced Test Engineer to take part in a team that is building a large-scale SOA based system. QA experience with a Big Data technology such as Hadoop and HBase is preferred. They use the Agile development methodology, which presents a fast paced and dynamic environment for opportunity and experience. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Write and execute test scripts to verify integration points between distributed components and databases. Test types include white box, functional, regression, integration, and performance. - Define test strategy based on business goals. - Ensure that all testing is automated. - Work independently or within a team to quickly grasp functional and non-functional requirements, as well as architecture and implementation details. - Create test plans that will measure and report on system’s ability to deliver strict response times and quality goals. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of 7 years experience in software testing or development. - Must be able to write test automation scripts using Apache JMeter and SOA Test. - Must be able to write tests for REST based web services. - Must be able to write tests that involve parsing and analyzing of XML and CSV files. - Must be able to use Jira for issue tracking and SVN for code repository. - Strong knowledge and experience applying QA best practices, techniques, and tools. - Experience in debugging and troubleshooting in 100+ server RedHat Linux environments. - Experience with Unix shell scripting and Java is a must.
