Most of the time will be spent performing frequent merges with a central code base. Regression tests and some debugging are also part of the process. The candidate must be an expert in the C programming language and the C preprocessor. Some knowledge of ARM assembly is a plus. The ability to understand and repair compiler, assembler, and linker errors is essential. Experience with version control software (Perforce preferred) is also required, in particular the process of merging and resolving conflicts. Expect frequent interaction with the firmware developers to ensure proper resolution of ambiguous conflicts.
