Position: Financial Analyst Location: Woonsocket RI,
RESPONSIBLITIES: - Use broad financial analysis and business knowledge to identify financial issues and opportunities to optimize financial results and to drive/influence management decisions. - Design and develop financial planning and control processes and systems. - Review, analyze and forecast expenses and capital. - Exercise financial influence in driving cost effective actions. - Partner with other financial liaisons in preparation of management reporting package, and other special projects. - Build analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data to forecast operating results. - Conduct comparables analysis as necessary in support of key business metrics and objectives. - Access PeopleSoft general ledger system to pull actual financials for use in trending and forecasting analyses. - Work with Cost Accounting in analyzing overhead spending and provide support on monthly costing forecast. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - BA or BS in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred, CPA a plus. - 5-7 years experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Construction, Healthcare industry, Operations functional support, or cost accounting experience are all pluses. - Very strong experience creating financial models, including use of database manipulation (e.g. Access & Excel). - Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
