*Must Be Local To CA Only.....!!!!* *Job Title: Jr. System Administrator* *Location: Modesto, CA* *Duration: 3+ Months Contract* *Rate: $30/Hr on C2C/1099* The System Administrator provides internal support for the entire enterprise by helping design, install, configure, administer, tune, troubleshoot, stabilize and optimize various platforms that include but are not limited to Microsoft, LINUX, Web, & VMWare systems and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported. This position must take ownership of the systems that are in their care, and is responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing common network problems, hardware and software upgrades and patches, and providing technical support as required. *Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: * Provides daily guidance and collaboration to other IT Administrators Assists in the integration and operation of business applications, security, and end user applications Supports the introduction of new/incoming technology projects into production Provides support for user administration (Setup and maintaining user accounts) Assists in building, maintain, monitoring and adjusting systems for peak performance and reliability Performs root cause analysis and resolution for all security applications or software issues Provides customer service and support by managing BOSS tickets addressing each one till resolved to end users satisfaction Works with other departments in resolving issues Performs other duties as assigned *Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): * Excellent analytical, planning and organization/time management skills Ability to analyze results, determine/resolve bottlenecks, and create documentation of testing scenarios and results Troubleshooting experience with Microsoft, LINUX, Web, & VMWare systems Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to problem solve in fast-paced environment under tight time constraints Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate with users who are in both technical and non-technical roles Approachable, teachable, team player with a strong desire to learn, grow and to improve the organization’s operational efficiency Excellent customer service skills with a focused approach on resolving IT issues Strong background in supporting multiple operating systems and experience with storage solutions Experience managing a Virtual server environment MCSE, MCITP, MCSE+i, RHCE, Comp Tia A+/Network+/Linux+, MCDBA, VCP or similar certifications Experience with MySQL, Oracle, INGRES and Microsoft SQL server Experience with IIS, APACHE, W2K3 and W2K8, XP, Linux (Red Hat, SUSE 10.x server), server administration and indexing engines Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Strong fact-finding skills Excellent organizational skills Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio) *Education:* Two year college degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience) *Experience: * Minimum of three years of relevant experience in planning, installing, testing and deploying software, patches and upgrades, TCP/IP and SMTP, directory services (AD, LDAP, NDS), authorization and security issues, in a multi-discipline project and troubleshooting environment *Other: *This position will be part of a rotating on-call team, providing around the clock support. Occasional travel required. Background and Credit Screen Required. *Physical:* Basic office and store environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects.
