*Role: SQL DBA* *Location: Torrance, CA* *Duration: 6 Months* *Interview: Skype* *Visa: USC and GC and EAD* Job Description *The responsibilities of the* *DBA SQL II* *will include:* - Optimizing database access and allocating/-re-allocating database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost - Being responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration - Assisting in setting department policies and strategies on data management issues - Assisting with performing backup and recovery on Database Management Systems - Configuring database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models - Defining data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements - Supporting multiple services and multiple databases of medium to high complexity with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility of data - Working on multiple projects as a project leader or sometimes as a project advisor - Assisting with the development of enterprise-wide multi-disciplinary architectural documents translating business data requirement into topographical format - Designing, modeling, configuring, testing, and installing DB2 databases in the test, development and production environments. - Performing and troubleshooting database backup, recovery, capacity, and security plans. - Administering, maintaining, and implementing changes to existing databases to meet customer requirements. - Responding to test and production database problems and implement immediate resolution efforts across technology areas. - Working on mission critical applications **The knowledge and skills listed below are a MUST HAVE.* Please submit your resume only if you possess the skills required.
