*Position: Senior Information Architect/Big Data Architect* *Location: Windsor, CT* Duration : 6+Months Contract *Mandatory Skills:* Map Reduce, Spark, Sqoop, Hive *Job description:* · As a Senior Information Architect/Big Data Architect, work with business and technology members to define information needs and architect solutions in the form of a Data Engineering Solution that supports desired business and technical capabilities / requirements. · Deliver hands-on components to support strategic and project-centric prototyping, and solution prescriptions across emerging platforms · Support the Information Management Reference Architecture and ensure the alignment of solutioning and delivery activities against the Reference Architecture. · Proactively look for opportunities to align technology as an enabler for business needs and capabilities (e.g., identify need for enterprise data, advanced analytics, etc). · Perform industry research for best practices in architecture and data management for current initiatives and proactively share this information as applicable with other members of the team. · Research leading edge technologies for future projects and use cases, including Cloud and Big Data platforms, business rules/data classification engines, near-real-time reporting, integration technologies. · Conduct pre-project business problem elicitation, feasibility, and business case definition on highly complex programs and projects. · Work with the business to determine the real issue(s) that need to be solved, or the opportunity to do things differently. · Develop the business case, in particular ensuring benefits align to strategic and tactical business objectives, managing interdependencies on multiple projects. · Advises and makes recommendations on emerging trends which will be useful to the business, IT, and the entire segment in the delivery of future projects. · Support the business in conducting business, technical, and feasibility assessments. · Ensuring quality business requirements for large and highly complex projects. · Ensures business requirements are concise, complete, specific, and unambiguous and coordinates related business activities in support of specific business strategies. · Combines all business requirements into a clear, managed, prioritized backlog (agile) or business requirements document (waterfall). · Drives business requirements to a sufficient level of detail to allow Architects and Software Engineers to design and implement appropriate solutions. · Provides refined requirements into project iterations in time to allow design/delivery to commence. · Manages the scope and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that they are understood by the project team and met by the delivered solution. · Identifies interdependencies across projects in support of specific business strategies. · Leads business change management activities. · Ensures the benefits, impact and release of all changes are tracked and managed and communicated to relevant stakeholders. · Ensures end users and IT support teams are fully trained to use, support and maintain the application/solution. · Provides project management support · Provides subject matter expertise on the business unit, associated processes and systems, and business analysis thought leadership to all relevant team members. · Works with the Project Manager to identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies. · Resolves questions related to requirements or process. · Delivers the required documentation during each stage of the project · Experience in large scale data lake design and implementation *Email is the Best Way to Reach Me.* *Thanks & Regards,* *Jessie Parker* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Powerbuilder Assignments" group.
