Hi David,
Check out Mike Breeden's excellent site at: http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/
He even has a forum dedicated to the 3dfx chip set. Lots of good info there.
You could also get a good bit of help from the Gurus at:
http://www.macgurus.com/
They also have forums and people who *know* there stuff.
