I want to echo Jim Arnott's reply, Wayne. I bought a PowerTower200
with 128MB RAM about 2 years ago on eBay and I've since used
VelocityUpgrades to boost/max-out my RAM at 512MB for what I've
considered dirt cheap prices and (despite the paranoa occasionally
expressed here) no unmanageable problems.

I'm sorry to read (for others...not me! <g>) that perhaps RAM prices
are again on the roller-coaster "upslope" that I've experienced in
nearly 16 years of Mac use...

I've read (MacWorld, July 2001, page 64) that
http://www.ramseeker.com is a good site to check out when looking to
find the lowest RAM prices. I've never used it, nor am I endorsing
the site...'just "throwing it out there" for general consumption.
Others, no doubt, will be able to point you to better sources and
prices.

Greg
