If you look at the old supply, you can then match what you need. ATX
supplies are pretty much available anywhere in various sizes (AT and ATX
aren't the same). I personally wouldn't pay for a used Power Computing
supply if I could go to a local shop and pick up a generic supply (anywhere
from $25-$100 at Frys) that matches performance with the orginal. If you are
concerned, take the old supply and visually make sure it matches in terms of
screw placement, size, etc, as well as watts, leads, etc.
One thing the clones make us Mac folk realize is that parts is parts. An ATX
supply is an ATX supply, most ram is ram, most IDE drives are IDE drives: PC
hardware can be cheaper than Mac hardware and usually they are the same. It
just safer to make sure the stuff will work with your Mac. Example, I pulled
to 72 pin simms (EDO) from a PC and put them in my Performa with no problem;
put a 6.4 Western Digital drive into my Powerbase 180, then in my new PC,
then put it back in my Powerbase, and all it took were some jumper changes
and formats.
