It's more like using common sense as far as I can see, Scott.

It the information may be helpful to others, post your reply to the poster,
as I am now.
If you get into the specifics of a problem, or want a personal opinion,
most posters will respond
to an 'offline' email ie sent to the posters address only.

A number of times I've offered an article about upgrading PowerComputing
machines, and asked people to respond offline if they want it.
Why?... because it's rather long, and of limited use to listers with G3
upgrades or PTP machines
due it's original posting date.
