As we all know, battery failure on Macs *does* cause mysterious problems. It may not be responsible for a power supply failure, but it certainly can result in a black screen fooling someone into thinking that a more serious problem lurks within their computer. Regardless, the response was highly inappropriate and I would rather not see messages of this nature on this list. I'm sure others feel the same.
