I have a Power Tower Pro 225 that until recently was paired with a Sony Trinitron monitor. My son has played with the monitor controls, so I assumed the green cast to the display was related to his fooling around with the settings. Then this monitor died, and I have put two other monitors on the machine, an old Apple 14" and a Viewsonic. The pronounced green cast is still there. As well all the other distortions my son introduced! Viewing area all bloated and moved to one side of the screen, etc.!!
I got rid of it on the Viewsonic by turning the Green setting in the RGB panel to 0, but this is hardly a fix. Now I'm wondering is it the computer itself. I threw out Monitor Preferences to no result. Any ideas? What's the green glow? Many thanks. I'm going now to put tape over the settings on the Viewsonic so things stay the way they should!
