On the verge of buying a two-slot USB PCI card for my PowerTower 180e (saw a deal at dealmac.com, $13 from ComReady.com < http://www.comready.com/nettecpci2po.html >, I became aware of version numbers.
To wit: "Newest version of the PCI to USB controller that is compatible with Macintosh. Mac computer with PCI 2.1 complian [sic] slots." Mention also is made that this card is "Compatible with iMac OS 8.5 and above." Does this mean there are different versions of PCI slots, and my PowerTower might not be up-to-date enough for this card? Is nothing ever easy? :-) --Chuck -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
