An update: I previously inquired as to whether certain Power Computing machines (such as my PowerTower 180e, which uses a PowerCurve mobo) could recognize and use 128 MB DIMMs.
Opinion was mixed (and indeed, everyone's mileage may vary). But to report: I put a 128 MB 5V FPM non-EDO DIMM from Other World Computing (no commercial endorsement intended) in my PowerTower, and it recognizes the 128 MB DIMM just fine. Just FYI, my DIMM configuration is 128, 32, 64 and 64 MB, totaling 288 MB, comprised of a grab bag of RAM chips I've managed to put my hands on over time (hardly a pristine experiment; more of a random real-world test). Now, if I can just find another of those fleeting 128-MB-for-$21 deals that flashed across this list the other day! --Chuck -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
