The Power Computing specs show that the ethernet card was optional on the PowerBase (most other models show a particular card model #). > And if so.. is there a place I can buy > the original OS CD for it? Power Computing OS CDs show up regularly on eBay. You will probably want an OS 7.6 or later. Several of those were specifically burned for PowerBase machines (part numbers 1620-0005-00, 1620-0005-01 or, in OS 8, 1620-0014-00), but probably any of the CDs will help. > Im sure this is one of those RTFL questions.. but > Im kinda stumped.. no matter what I do, I cannot seem to make my 240 work > with either the farallon or the rtl8139 ethernet card.. Is the original hard drive still installed with a System Folder, and can you boot up from the original drive and get the network card to work? Take heart: Many people are running OS 9 on their Power Computing machines. You may just not have exactly the right driver installed, or are missing some other type of extension. --Chuck -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
