Not all Dell computers use true ATX power supplies.  When I was looking for a
replacement for the power supply in my PowerCurve I got a Dell power supply
that wouldn't work on the PowerCurve.  It had some extra wires going to a
connector different than any on the supply that came with the PowerCurve.  A
true ATX power supply works fine on my PowerCurve.
