Bingo! That fixed the problem, thanks.  I didn't realise (until I looked
closer) that the video chipset was on that riser card.

Now is there anywhere I can download the driver-set that is normally
distributed with the machine?  I've tried Apple's download site and
google and haven't had any luck yet.
