I have used an ATX power supply from a PC on my PowerCurve. You just need to make sure the fan is in the right place and is blowing out. I tried one with the fan blowing in and the PowerCurve got very hot. With the fan blowing out it runs prenty cool. If the CFM of the fan is not high enough to move the hot air out it might get too warm also.
