Definitely sounds like the battery. However, the easiest way I know to get the correct battery is to take the old one out, go to Radio Shack or similar, and buy a matching battery. PowerComputing used to list the batteries on their web site, and Apple did briefly after purchasing them, but I don't think ThisOldMac ever has gotten that kind of information posted.
