I mostly use the RAM to keep multiple applications open and for a large RAM
allocation to Photoshop. Regarding why I care about VM when I have so much
actual RAM, I just seemed to remember that Macs preferred to run with VM
on. I have always allocated 1mg of VM. I guess I'm misremembering.
