I could be mistaken; I am _not_ a specialist in this kind of hardware matter
by any means. But this PTP, or its mobo, has been implicated (at least
circumstantially) in some pretty heinous incidents.
And sure, it's likely that electronically, the 601 board was never, ever,
forever intended to be inserted into a PTP.
Personally, I wouldn't wager even $25 on another daughterboard after the
series of events you describe.
But Mr. Cantrell, I think we all applaud your grit, your dogged
determination and your sense of adventure ("Hoo boy am I having fun" should
go on the Power Computing board's Hall of Gallows Humor Fame, if such a
thing exists).
