I have a Sonnet Tango firewire/usb card in my PCP 210 w/ 512 meg RAM, newer tech 400 mHz G3 upgrade, running OS 9.1. I have an 80 gig and a 10 gig hard drive connected to the firewire bus. When I try to access info on the firewire drives the sound often cuts out on my mac. This is for system sounds, iTunes goes silent, everything, and no amount of fiddling with control panels brings it back. The only way to get the sound back is restart, and everything goes back to normal, until I need something on a firewire drive again. Does anyone have any idea what causes this, how I can prevent it, or at least how to get sound back without a restart? TIA, Terry Bennett
