Good to know, but it's a very nice sony :-)  I'll try booting with no
monitor

If you're using an Applevision monitor, try holding down the
(command,option, A,V) keys at startup.
If not, try zapping pram again, letting the computer cycle a coupla times
before releasing the keys.
