Most older cd-rom drives are going to eventually have difficulty 
reading newer CDR and CDRW media as the newer media is using lasers 
of a different wavelength.  Some of the older drives have trouble 
reading discs burned on this media.  Try using a different brand or 
look for slower speed media when burning your own.
