Years ago (when they were still giving Apple a run for their money) I bought a factory-refurbished PowerCenter 120 (Low profile).
Since then it has changed a great deal, and hosts a Powerlogix G3 300 processor, a sonnet IDE card with a Hitach DVD-rom and a 60GB IBm drive, and 256 Mb RAM. I recently tried an allegedly impossible thing - and actually successfully installed jaguar (Mac OS X.2) on the beast, using XPost Facto. This involved an awful lot of checking of cables, etc as i initially had an IDE proble, In disassembling the machine I found the main board had the word PowerCurve etched upon it. Does anyone know if this was a standard amendment in factory refurbed PowerCenters, and if so, is ther any chace i could even (gasp) try for a G4 upgrade? Has anyone out there successfully installed a G4 in a Powercenter? Or had i best quit while I'm ahead? -- Mark Willan [EMAIL PROTECTED] ARS EX NIHILO LUMEN NOTICE: This email is confidential, may be legally privileged, and is for the intended recipient only.
