Extension or control panel conflict >It doesnt get far enough into boot to try it without the extensions... No, you can start without extensions. Immediately after the chime, hold down a Shift key until the Welcome screen comes up. It'll say Extensions Off instead of showing the "purple progress bar". >and no the PCP is not nubus but the 7100/66 is... Right--then that means the ROM SIMM from the 7100 won't fit in the PCP. The ROM isn't likely to be a problem anyway. Forget about the ROM for now. >I have FWB cd rom toolkit 3.something installed >I never had the hdd fwb software installed it always worked without >it...? Uh, you either have it installed or you don't. Is it an Apple CDROM or the original CDROM? > where can I get a OS 9.0 Cd > thats not model specific? Does it cost $$$? If you're going to get OS 9, you might as well get the best version you can run: OS 9.1. Look around for one of the many closeouts on OS X 10.0.3 or 10.1.3. OS 9.1 should come with it ($30-$50). Make sure it comes with 9.1, not just a 9.2.1 or 9.2.2 Update CD. I wouldn't expect it to be any cheaper alone, by the way. In the meantime, is there ANY other OS (retail or PowerComputing) version you have that you can use instead? -David -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
