BeOS is pretty zippy, but there are far fewer apps available for it than MacOS. The residual user base after Palm bought Be is still there however.
If all you need is a web browser, email client, and word processor, you should be fine. If I had a dual 200mhz box, I'd stick with a nice stable install of 8.6.
