Well, I bought it from OWC and they said it would work in PC clones... I also plugged in two different mice, nothing I plugged in a hub, no go and I tried my USB Zip drive, no power... I read something on here that certain cards needed to go into certain slots in the m/b? Does anyone know which slot is the number one PCI slot in these machines?
-Joe I've had several problems with different USB cards I finally found a cheap USB card (Belkin) at Wal-Mart for $15 and it worked. I may be wrong, but I think that these machines are not PCI 2.x compliant, because the only card I could get to work is a PCI 1.x card. Hope this helps a bit on 9/30/02 11:38 PM, Joe WF Runnels at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > ok what gives!? > I installed an XLR8 Dual USB card into this machine, laoded Apples USB > driver 1.4.1 and it recognized the card, but not either of the two USB > HDDs I have, one is by club mac, the other is generic... > > -Joe ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
