I think using any computer for any length of time without the ability to install a fresh copy of the OS is living on the edge, unless this is just a toy. In any event, using a computer with an unknown OS (i.e. one you didn't install yourself or a factory install that's been used for years) is still rolling the dice with respect to performance or reliability, if not usability. You can use any retail (and a few non-retail) Mac OS CDs that your model supports. -David -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
