You should definitely consider the PowerBase to be a different 
computer from the other Power Computing clones; do not assume that 
what works in another clone will work in the PowerBase.

One handy tool for finding compatible upgrades for any particular Mac 
is Other World Computing's Upgrade Center:

So far, it has never lead me astray.   Of course, it won't point you 
to any products that OWC doesn't sell.   But their selection of 
upgrades is pretty broad.

Let us know how your upgrade works out.   I'm planning to upgrade the 
CPU on my PowerBase sometime in the months ahead.
