The PTP motherboard has two sets of RAM slots. The A set has four slots; so
does the adjacent B set.

Interleaving means to install same-sized DIMMs in pairs, putting them in
corresponding slots.

For instance, you might have a pair of 128 MB DIMMs in slots A1 and A2,
another pair of 128 MB in A2 and B2, perhaps a pair of 64 MB in A3 and B3,
etc.

If you have all slots filled with 64 MB DIMMs, your PTP memory is
interleaved.

Power Computing said interleaving improved system performance.
