Anyone have a hacked version of the Apple CD/DVD driver that will work with
a Pioneer 305S? If so, give me pointers to it or email me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I installed one of these drives in a Power Computing Power Center Pro Tower
this weekend. The hacked version I have supports data and music cds but
not DVDs.

Both the Rage II Pro on board and the PCI Xclaim VR 128 I have supported DVD
MPEG2 decoding. I followed a link to get a patched version of DVD Player
and was able to play a dvd using a demo of a commercial driver. I am also
running this under Mac OS 9.2.2 on this computer.

Thanks
