I have not yet been able to install OS X on my PowerCenter Pro 210 using
either XPostFacto or Sonnet's install software. In both cases, the
installation of the installer goes fine, but when the machine reboots,
(it's supposed to reboot from the CD) it hangs and ruins my PRAM settings,
in the case of the Sonnet software, or simply reboots into OS 9 in the
case of XPostFacto.

I've tried doing the CMD-v on boot-up, but I don't get anything on the
screen.

I read in one of the docs or the other that OS X doesn't like certain
older CD-ROM drives, so I'm wondering if that is the issue. I only have
the stock CD drive in my machine. So my question is:

Has anyone successfully used a stock CD-ROM drive in their Powercenter Pro
(or any other Powercomputing machine) to load OS X with?
