We upgraded from 8.0 to 9.1 about four weeks ago and I can tell you for certain that Office 98, Photoshop 4.0 and 5.0, and Illustrator 7.0 work just fine. My Quark XPress is an older version (3.31) but it works too. Sounds like your wife is a fellow graphic designer! As far as running with 10.2, I was told that going to 10 or higher would have obsoleted all of my software. Like you, we can't afford to upgrade all these expensive packages, so 9.1 was the best we could do. Wer'e very happy with it so far, and I've heard a lot of people say it's actually better than 10 in some respects.
