I have a PTP with a Sonnett G3 300 running osx 10.2.5 and 9.2.2 without any
problems at all.

Which is the reason I eventually gave up.  Actually, I did get it running, 
but it was too unstable to use for "production" work.   I finally just got 
an eMac, though I plan to keep the old powercenter around for doing things 
that only OS 9 can do, like interfacing with my scanner, etc.
