Au contraire, the Sonnet board/card is an excellent choice.
You install the software then install the card. It is good software.

I'm still chaffing from all the problems I've had with a power logix G4
Card in my PTP.

Sonnet is a good company and their telephone support is superb.

I've put several (7 or 8) Sonnet cards in Machines that go back to my
IIvx. All are working well and still in use.

After running Conflict Catcher on all machines, many times , I can
attest the Sonnet Enabler Software has never conflicted with anything.
MicroSuck, Spell Catcher and Adobe Type manager have caused most of my
conflicts and crashes over the years. I have software, still new in the
Box so to speak, that never worked. Crashed from day one. Wasted hours
on the phone with no relief. Get your money back? "Tuff Fecal Material!"

As to his clone Bias, I've had excellent value from my PCP 240, I bought
new with the $999. Sony 19" Monitor in '97. When they first became
available, I put first a Sonnet G3 400 MHz and then a G3 500 MHz in it.
With a global Village v92 modem, it's still my main toy at our Summer
Retreat.
