Dear List: I've reviewed the archive and can't seem to get a straight answer on this one -- I have a PowerBase 180 (upgraded to a G3/233 -- which is barely an upgrade) and I want to add a larger hard drive. The current HD is a 1.2 GB SCSI.
Here are the questions: 1) Can I use an IDE drive and if so, how do I connect it (do I need a controller card? I've read posts about a built in IDE connector but don't know where it is)? 2) If I use a SCSI drive, what sort of connector do I need (50 pin, 80 pin, wide... I have no idea what is in there). 3) This is kind of of off topic, but I also have an external SCSI HD (an old 340 MB drive -- back when MB meant something!) and I'm wondering if I can stick a just stick a SCSI drive in there to replace the 340. Any thoughts? I greatly appreciate the list and any answers.
